Challenging times call for a refresh. They call for quiet. They call for peace. Most of all a refresh! It would be great if it was so simple. Imagine that we could hit a refresh button on our lives and start anew. We have had two years of the most challenging times any of us has ever seen. Many people feel pitted against each other. In some areas, it is truly frightening.
Refresh in Challenging Times
My intentions for this site have taken a seismic shift. I still want to share my artwork created for pure enjoyment (yours and mine). In addition, it’s important for me to witness and encourage other women that God loves them and has a plan for their lives. My beliefs have not changed but now more than ever before there is a monumental need to share God’s Word. I feel compelled to share this message with an audience that goes well beyond my small community.
With My Voice
Many times in the Bible, especially in the Psalms, we hear “I cried unto God with my voice” and he heard me. We must lift our voices. I must lift my voice to share the good news with people who have no hope, no faith, and no peace. God is still in control. There is hope for us! It is only through his only begotten son, Jesus Christ, that we can be reconciled to God and find a peace that passes understanding.
Refresh Our Memories
Christians have experienced persecution in many parts of the world for centuries. We are seeing an uprising of anti-Christian sentiments at unprecedented levels now. The United States is under attack by non-believers. They are offended by God, His Word, and His people. They want all mention of God & our Christian heritage to be erased and replaced by their atheist views. Our government, media, and schools are trying to push their views on believers and conservatives with the threat of imprisonment if we dare disagree. Our memories need a refresh to remember the Christian principles on which our country was founded.
I know that my words mean nothing without God working in the hearts of man. I also know that God says his word that goeth forth will not return void (Isaiah 55:11) and that whether we plant or water it’s God that gives the increase. “I have planted, Apollos watered; but God gave the increase. So then neither is he that planteth any thing, neither he that watereth; but God that giveth the increase.” 1 Corinthians 3:6-7 I will try to bring you art and scripture as God leads and leave the rest to him.
