Be Still and Know

Imagine yourself in this quiet garden setting where you can go to pray and seek God’s will. Turquoise and pink symbolize God’s healing and a person’s right relationship with God.  You can almost hear the sound of running water as you listen for God to speak to you in a still small voice.

Scripture Verses

This painting “Be Still and Know” combines Psalms 46:10a “Be still, and know that I am God:” with 1 Kings 19:12 that says that sometimes God is found in “a still small voice”.  Shop my artwork here.

1 Kings 19:12 And after the earthquake a fire; but the Lord was not in the fire: and after the fire a still small voice.

We All Need a Quiet Place

It’s hard to read God’s word, pray, and seek Him when we are in a noisy, busy place.  There is just too much going on to be able to devote your attention or seek God’s will in a particular situation.  You’ll find yourself rereading entire chapters because you have no idea what you just read.
